Black Magic Tackle

WordPress MYOB Integration

The best by test

Committed to driving the business forward, Black Magic Tackle teamed up with Hart Design to produce an online ordering website where their customer base and product range is integrated from MYOB Exo into WordPress. The goal for this WordPress MYOB Exo integration project was to automate customer orders from an easy to use online portal and plugged straight into Exo, where order fulfilment continues as normal.

MYOB is a hugely popular business software and payroll solution. You can track your suppliers, purchases, staff, sales and stock control. Black Magic wanted to integrate the power of MYOB into their website. We chose WordPress as our website CMS platform of choice.

The purpose behind this custom WordPress MYOB Exo integration website development project was to provide an easy to use online ordering for their sales team to use as they travelled the country visiting their many retailers. The sales reps would browser the website on their iPads, compile an order on behalf of their customer and immediately fire the order through to MYOB Exo where the order will be dispatched as normal.

We’re big fans of Woocommerce, and for many of our ecommerce customers it’s the ideal platform for their business needs. For Black Magic Tackle, we initially explored the idea of integrating MYOB with Woocommerce, but soon dismissed it because the specific requirements for this web development project would be problematic to work with Woo’s necessarily rigid structure. So we set about developing our own custom WordPress plugin that we could structure exactly as we needed to meet the brief. The result was ultimate flexibility and a future-proofed system that can be further developed with new features over time.
