Propagating a better quality of enquiry

Telling Their Story

A commercial landscape and construction company, The Plant People partners with some of New Zealand’s most well known property developers across a wide range of large-scale projects. They were getting used batting away enquiries from homeowners looking for a quick garden tidy-up, or regular lawn mowing service. That is until they realised that their website was attracting the wrong type of enquiry.

Our first order of business was to redesign their website. We were using exactly the same information as the old website, but totally redesigned to project a different, more relevant message to its audience.

The new look had an immediate impact, however the website’s content still did not adequately showcase the diversity and scale of projects that The Plant People are working on week in, week out.

Having a great-looking website is one thing, but much like life itself, mere existence alone is not enough! To make a website really work for your business, its needs momentum. That’s why The Plant People are using our digital marketing plan – to tell their story online.

Each month we showcase a different division in The Plant People – from indoor plant hire to contract growing to the landscaping of entire residential developments, stormwater pond construction and more. As these stories mount up, the picture becomes clearer to their audience what they’re offering; and just as importantly, what they’re not offering.

The new stories themselves become lightning rods for people searching for their services. Why? Because – when optimised properly – the new content provides Googlebot with a clearer picture of what you’re about, too. So digital marketing is really about SEO – it’s what SEO looks like in 2019.
